The images above are my sketchnotes from the 2011 Association of Change Management Professionals Conference. I captured them in real-time on an iPad as I watched each presentation. Most of them were posted to my personal blog before the following talk and tweeted using the conference hashtag.
Although I’ve been an avid sketchnoter since my first VizThink conference back in 2008, the vast majority of sketchnotes I’ve created have been for personal use. That’s probably why I never noticed that what I end up with is usually more subjective interpretation than objective regurgitation. In essence, sketchnotes are mashups between the words and images streaming into my senses from the presentation and the metaphors and associations streaming out of my subconscious.
